Silicon Valley startup of 100% Kona coffee pods for Keurig coffee pods single serve brewers announced it landed a partnership with a leading distributor specializing in custom promotional products and private label for the 100% Kona coffee single serve pods, 100% Kona decaf coffee pods, 100% Maui Mokka coffee single serves and 100% Kau coffee pods. Pooki’s Mahi’s Kona coffee custom promotional swag products will be available for purchase on the distributor’s platform in Q4 2016.

Pooki’s Mahi kicked off vetting distributors with secure platforms that protect vendors from unapproved resellers in 2014. The original list of 50+ distributors was trimmed to no more than 12 distributors in 2015. Pooki’s Mahi approved six distributors to vet businesses and sell Pooki’s Mahi’s Kona coffee custom promotional single serve products and private label Kona coffee pods in 2016.

The biggest issue was the lack of an end-to-end custom design at lower minimums for the Kona coffee single serve pods in retail ready packaging. Larger single serve coffee maker manufacturers require higher minimum requirements at 12,000 to 25,000 single serve pods to manufacture the single serve only. Larger single serve coffee maker manufacturers does not include end-to-end custom design for all the approved bill of material components, uses non-sustainable single serve cup, charges for shipping and extra touches. Larger single serve coffee maker manufacturers will not speak to new customers if the customer cannot meet the minimums. Single serve coffee maker manufacturers who claim “no minimums” are not transparent with the full cost. The quoted cost is $.39 to manufacture one single serve pod. This does not include shipping the raw material, packaging, product labels, food ready pouches or product merchandising. Customer must pay and is responsible for shipping all raw material to the single serve coffee maker manufacturers facilities.,” explains the Silicon Valley executive.
