Silicon Valley single serve coffee startup of award-winning teas, brown rock sugar and 100% Hawaiian coffees subscriptions Pooki’s Mahi announced today the launch of three new teas to its Black Tea Fusions Collection.  

Inspired by customer feedback on taste, aroma, and pricing, the teas in the Black Tea Fusions Collection all feature unique and unexpected flavor combinations, rich aroma and remarkable after taste.  Customers provided feedback to Pooki’s Mahi and a Customer Advisory Board for over a year before launching a pilot of the collection last year.

“I love this tea.  I tried it initially at my friend’s restaurant located at Stanford’s Shopping center in Palo Alto while visiting him and ordered it immediately after I found out what brand and flavor it was.  I met Les, Founder/CEO of Pooki’s Mahi at a Celebrity Red Carpet event.  The jasmine aroma does not over power the passion fruit taste.  No need to add sugar; however I added Nectresse Monk Fruit Sugar and noticed the passion fruit flavor was enhanced,” gushed Samantha M., a celebrity and repeat Pooki’s Mahi customer.  “It does not have the after-taste you find in many of the cheaper store brands.  The tea tastes better than the passion fruit tea served at PF Changs and the Cheesecake Factory. I brewed an iced tea version.  The tropical passion fruit and jasmine aroma came through.  It didn’t have a terrible after taste like other brands when an iced tea is brewed and left in the fridge for a few hours.”

The three new Black Tea Fusions are:

1. Earl Grey Crème: An aromatic bergamot adds refined citrus notes to this dark full leaf with prized tiny silver tips, giving this extraordinarily rich black tea infusion a creamy French vanilla finish.
2. Lychee Peach: An infused organic black tea with exotic tropical notes of sweet lychee, intoxicating peach with notes of apricot, osmanthus, and ripe pear creating a sweet fruity cup.
3. Passion Fruit Jasmine: A complex fruit infusion highlighting hibiscus; jasmine blossoms soften and refresh it while black tea, green tea and passion fruit concoct a tropical medley. 

Pooki’s Mahi’s suppliers improved the formula and packaging for these teas.  Teas now come in a handy reusable standup pouch that include brewing instructions for each specific tea and ingredient list.  The new packaging utilizes icons to assist customers in identifying key information such as caffeine level, number of cups served and allergy warnings.  Customers make informed buying decisions.
