Silicon Valley-based Pooki’s Mahi® announced today Founder/CEO Leslie Magsalay-Zeller set Pooki’s Mahi® Peaberry 100% Kona coffee pods launch date for June. Transition to recyclable pods using upgraded supply chain designed by Komo Kitty℠ controls rising costs of materials to manufacture 100% Kona coffee in recyclable pods while offering complimentary two-day shipping in the USA.   

Pooki’s Mahi upgraded 100% Kona Peaberry coffee pods are made from Peaberry grade 100% Kona coffee injected into recyclable coffee pods. The Peaberry 100% Kona coffee pods are compatible with single serve coffee makers using Keurig 1.0 and 2.0 brewing technologies.

Pooki’s Mahi Founder/CEO Leslie Magsalay-Zeller explains, “I turned a 2018 supply chain FUBAR into an opportunity to reset Pooki’s Mahi operations with a Just In Time (JIT) supply chain model. The new supply chain model uses existing processes, systems, and protected intellectual property (IP) I developed. Pooki’s Mahi mission is to become a ‘Digital Beverage’ known for an efficient supply chain. ‘Digital Beverage’ is a company goal to consistently deliver orders to USA based customers faster without adding a membership fee or requiring a minimum order requirement.” 

The Silicon Valley technology executive explains, “First, I redesigned Pooki’s Mahi product packaging to control costs and to meet the two-day transit time. Second, I created a ‘Track My Order’ service providing customers real-time updates for their orders. Location and estimated delivery times are part of the full updates. Third, I improved Pooki’s Mahi fulfillment processes to pick, pack and ship orders by making existing templates better and more comfortable to audit and analyze.”

The combination of suppliers participating in egregious business behaviors and limited availability of Hawaiian 100% Kona coffee beans contributed to Pooki’s Mahi supply chain FUBAR in 2018. Founder/CEO Leslie Magsalay-Zeller terminated relationships with suppliers for failing to meet Pooki’s Mahi stringent supply chain metrics. Business operations ceased to exist for suppliers producing materials used to make individually wrapped environmentally friendly pods. Limited availability for 100% Kona coffee crop.

Pooki’s Mahi 100% Kona Peaberry coffee pods are made from the start of the art manufacturing facilities. The new manufacturing facilities are FDA certified and have stringent processes to manufacture Pooki’s Mahi Kona coffee, Kafpresso™ Kona Nespresso coffee capsules, and Matcha Matcha Man® tea capsules using Founder/CEO Leslie Magsalay-Zeller protected IP and product specifications. The Silicon Valley executive qualified a new manufacturing team to meet growing demand from existing customers. Each Kona Peaberry coffee pods are nitrogen flushed, formed with a high oxygen barrier, and compatible with 1.0 and 2.0 single serve coffee makers. Pooki’s Mahi recyclable Kona Peaberry coffee pods are fit for USA based customers preferring to drink a luxury beverage made from single-origin, high Kona coffee bean grade from a micro-lot Kona coffee farm.
