Silicon Valley startup Pooki’s Mahi of 100% Hawaiian coffee single serve pods announced it is implementing a technical architecture upgrade on its online store to automate the onboarding process for wholesalers while prevent onboarding unqualified resellers.

Pooki’s Mahi has four wholesale programs:

To resell Pooki’s Mahi’s award-winning 100% Kona coffee single serve pods or other specialty products a Tax ID, business resellers permit and business insurance are required. Marketplaces like Amazon require proof of business insurance to sell the products. To qualify for Pooki’s Mahi’s distributor discount of up to 40% customers need to submit $85K worth of weekly orders. Pooki’s Mahi’s branded channel will launch separately. Minimums, a 50% deposit and payment required. 

The manufactured approved price (MAP) is $47.99 for most of Hawaiian 100% Kona coffee single serve pods. Pooki’s Mahi’s MAP price for 100% Kona Peaberry is $57.99. Pooki’s Mahi’s repeat customers complained about the quality of 100% Kona coffee single serve pods; product was purchased below the approved pricing.

Pooki’s Mahi’s reseller requirements are well documented since June 2015. The technical architecture upgrade enforces the requirements and process. It will also cut the time to onboard new resellers.
