Pooki’s Mahi follows strict product labeling requirements.  We list the percentage of the Kona coffee beans as part of the product name, ingredients list and on the product page.  Hawaii’s Department of Agriculture requires manufactures to state the percentage of the Kona coffee used per the current law.  

We monitor our entire supply chain to ensure suppliers adhere to our strictness.  For example, Pooki’s Mahi will not work with manufacturers who refuse to provide the list of companies that allegedly sell Kona coffee pods single serve cups certified as Kona coffee.  We document and report to the appropriate authorities after we conduct our own assessment(s).  Customers have the right know where their Hawaiian coffee is harvested, roasted and packaged.

100% Kona Coffee vs. Kona Coffee Blend
Coffee beans harvested from Kona, roasted and packaged into the final retail selling unit are 100% Kona coffee certified.  The final roasted batch is no longer considered 100% Konaonce any Kona coffee bean is mixed with coffee beans from another region (like South America, Central America, Africa).  The end product is a10% Kona Coffee Blendand not 100% Kona coffee.  The 10% indicates the total percentage of Kona coffee beans used in the retail selling unit.

2. 25% Kona coffee blend - 25% of Kona coffee beans used
3. 100% Kona coffee - 100% of Kona coffee beans used
