Pooki’s Mahi conducts several pilots (end-to-end product tests) with our existing customer base. The goal is to improve the overall tea single serve pods product line and to hand select award-winning tea flavors into our Pooki’s Mahi pods single serve variety packs.  Pooki’s Mahi single serve variety pack for teas will delight customers with tastes of ripe peaches, berries, dragon fruit, hibiscus, plum, mangoes, passion fruit, hints of mint, etc. 

Oolong tea single serve pods have a the normal (medium) level of caffeine.

Pods Variety Pack:  Oolong Tea Pods

Pooki’s Mahi is focused on fusing tropical and citrus flavors with traditional oolong teas. The sweet oolong tea balances the citrus medley of lemongrass, lemon myrtle and orange peel for a taste of ripe apricots and pears.  For some of the oolong tea fusion apple bits add a hint of tartness to the sweet infusion and floral undertones.

Pooki’s Mahi’s oolong tea single serves and pods are made from one of the world’s premier plucking of special grade, mountain grown tea prized for its large leaves, inviting liquor, roasted aroma and fresh orchid finish. Pooki’s Mahi’s oolong tea leaves are harvested from the hilltops of Nantou, Taiwan, a region covered in clouds and mist and surrounded by fresh streams and the cool crisp air of the high mountains.  The oolong teas are oxidized roughly halfway to black and therefore shares the health benefits of both green and black teas.

Customers can purchase Pooki’s Mahi’s tea single serve pods in multiple boxes if interested in purchasing tea single serve cups in bulk sizes.  The oolong tea cups will be offered as part of the tea pods and single serve variety pack collection.  Customers with a wholesale account will save 15% off from the retail price.  

Single Serve Tea Pods

Pooki’s Mahi will upgrade the names for the oolong single serve teas.  Below is a guideline to the various oolong tea fusions:

• Plum flavored oolong tea fusions will have tastes of ripe plums blended with fruit berries and sweet oolong tea.
• Citrus infused flavored oolong tea flavors will blend citron, lemon myrtle, mint, cream and hibiscus with the base of sweet oolong tea.
• Tropical fruit infused flavored oolong tea fusions will blend tropical fruit flavors like passion fruit, lychee and succulent, ripe peaches and hints of honey to add to the sweet base of oolong tea.

What’s in your pods or single serve?

Pooki’s Mahi conducts very lengthy pilots with existing customers to test tea pods and single serve cups flavors.  Customers who prefer loose leaf teas may not enjoy Pooki’s Mahi’s tea single serve pods variety packs. Customers who want convenience should enjoy Pooki’s Mahi's tea single serve cups.  

Producing tea single serve cups or pods using high quality award-winning teas is difficult:

• Current tea pods and single serve cups in a black or white plastic cup are serving ground tea leaves.  This is tea dust.  Tea dust are tea leaves finely ground so it passes through the auber machines used to push product into the actual cup.  Tea dust compromises tea flavors and quality.  
• It takes 90 seconds or less for water in single serve coffee makers to brew coffee or tea.  This is almost like instant coffee or tea.  High quality tea takes 3-7 minutes to brew regardless if it is in nylon pyramid tea form or loose leaf.
• The temperature to brew tea is not correct.  Single serve coffee makers will list 192 degrees as the standard temperature water will pass through.  192 degrees is too low for black tea and too high for green tea.
