Been heads down launching a new brand as part of the The PMO Practice portfolio. To launch any brand a solid foundation and understanding of the industry and space is required. In this case the industry is agriculture (crops) and the delivery vehicle is high-tech. Both can be checked off in Pooki’s Mahi’s case. Key Lesson: TLAs can easily confuse anyone who is responsible for launching the product or product suite/bundle to market.
Key Lesson: For every change (such as design, manufacturing, supplier, vendor, etc.) made capture it by documenting it. The “final spec” is the only document to complete an FAI. Without it vendors and partners “conveniently forget” what they agreed to.
Key Lesson: Have all agreements in contract form for NDA and Legal Protection. Manufacturers and Vendors are great at sub-contracting the work to obtain the target CoGS.
